Payload: Can carry 11 fully outfitted troops with gear, about 7,000 lbs.

The unit has 14 Black Hawk helicopters and about 250 men and women. Members train at Fort McCoy for deployment throughout the world as needed. The UH-60A Black Hawk, first flown in 1974, is a light transport helicopter used for air assault, air cavalry and aero medical evacuation. It provides significant improvements in troop capacity and cargo lift capability compared to the UH-1 "Huey" that it replaces. We look forward to our second visit from the Black Hawk at this years event.

The UH-1 is used for command and control, medical evacuation, and to transport personnel, equipment and supplies. The latest models are the UH-1H and the UH-1V. Initially procured in 1959, the Huey is the senior member of the Army's helicopter fleet. More than 9,000 were produced in 20 years. Army support for the UH-1 ends after September 2004. After that date fewer than 150 Hueys were flying Army wide, including 60 that belonged to the National Guard.

Coast Guard Air Station-Traverse City, Traverse City, MI.
The men and women of the air station support nearly every modern Coast Guard mission. The primary missions are winter and spring domestic ice patrols, search and rescue, aids to navigation and Maritime Environmental Response. Training also consumes a large share of their resource hours, which is a proven pay-off. Other missions include Public Affairs and Law Enforcement support for local, county and state agencies. (Please see 2007 Touchstone Pictures movie "The Guardian" starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher before the demonstration at The Pulaski Community Fly Fest 2008) We look forward to the second appearance of the Coast Guard at our event.

The service has been in operation since 1986. It was the third air medical helicopter program in the State of Wisconsin and the first outside of the Milwaukee and Madison areas. It is based at the Theda-Clark Medical Center in Neenah , Wisconsin. The ThedaStar flies a variety of missions, including responding directly to accident/trauma scenes as well as inter-hospital transportation of patients. It carries one pilot and two registered nurses. In August of 2001 the ThedaStar put into service its new aircraft, an EC-135 twin engine helicopter. This helicopter replaced the Bell 206 LongRanger that had been used since the start of the program and had last appeared at the Pulaski Fly-in in 2002. We look forward to the ThedaStar on its third visit to our event.

Eagle III is a comprehensive emergency air and ground transportation program which provides Critical Care level treatments during rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients. This transportation is provided by ground ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing airplane from medical facilities or accident scenes. Eagle III is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Eagle III program is owned and operated by County Rescue Services in partnership with both Bellin and St. Vincent Hospitals. County Rescue Services is a 501-C(3) nonprofit organization that has been in operation since 1982.
BELL 206 "JET
RANGER" MEDEVAC ASPIRUS HELICOPTER
Confirmed participation from CJ Aviation Systems / Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau, WI. MedEvac is a critical care transport program providing high quality medical transport services to the residents of Wausau and its neighboring communities within a 120 mile radius. The service includes both ground and air capabilities via its helicopter and ground ambulance fleet. The helicopter is staffed with highly trained, locally hired medical crews- including a pilot, a flight nurse, and a flight paramedic. We look forward to welcoming the MedEvac helicopter on their first, of what we hope to be many visits, at the Pulaski Community Fly-Fest.

*A normal airlift mission for the Hercules involves moving cargo or personnel from one location to another. Tactical airlift missions operate from short dirt strips with delivery by parachute or air drop. The Air Force issued the original design for the C-130 four decades ago and it remains in production today.

*The A-10 Thunderbolt first appeared in 1976 and was specially designed for close air support of ground forces against all targets including tanks and other armored vehicles. The A-10 can be serviced and operated from bases with limited facilities near battle areas. The A-10 has superior maneuverability at low speeds and altitude. The A-10 is scheduled to stay in service with the USAF until 2028.
